MEN OUT LOUD is an openly gay close-harmony vocal group. Their look is West Hollywood hot! Their sound is both classic and contemporary! Their repertoire encompasses danceable pop, doo-wop, R&B, and then some! Their debut album on Mercury Records was released nationwide on June 3, 1997 to critical acclaim and garnered them a second consecutive GLAMA nomination. In fall 1997, their video hit #3 on the CVC charts.

Los Angeles based group MEN OUT LOUD were finalists in the 1995 Southern California Harmony Sweepstakes a cappella vocal competition, with a performance at the Roxy in Hollywood. They established themselves on the gay scene performing in a variety of high-visibility events including the 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 Lesbian and Gay Pride Festivals throughout North America; AIDS Walk L.A. (each year since 1996), the Pasadena Posada, and RSVP vacations.

MEN OUT LOUD was twice nominated for the annual GAY/LESBIAN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (GLAMAs) and performed at the first Awards Ceremony in New York on October 6, 1996. The group was featured on the nationally syndicated TV program “Scoop with Sam & Dorothy” on December 19, 1996. The group also performed at the Human Rights Campaign Triangle Ball--the Gay & Lesbian Presidential Inaugural Celebration for Clinton in Washington DC, on the Hard Rock Cafe Stage at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval on October 31, and at the "Decade of Light" party to honor the 10th anniversary of Wisconsin Light at the Milwaukee Hilton on November 9, 1997.

Combining hot instrumental tracks and their rich a cappella vocal stylings for their ‘97 Summer Pride Tour, MEN OUT LOUD headlined at the 1997 Gay and Lesbian Pride Festivals in San Francisco, San Diego, Wichita, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Sacramento, Chico, Las Vegas, Fresno, Orange Co., Rhode Island, Pasadena, Tucson, Ottawa, New Orleans, and the New York City Pride Rally.

Once again traveling throughout North America, MEN OUT LOUD helped celebrate Pride in many cities in 1998 including: Phoenix, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Queens NY, twice in Ottawa Canada, Sacramento, St. Louis, San Diego, Milwaukee, Simi Valley, Pasadena, Albany, Wilmington Delaware, and Palm Springs.

In 1999, MEN OUT LOUD continued their touring across America with performances at Pride Festivals in: Seattle, New Jersey, Phoenix, Simi Valley, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Milwaukee, Long Beach, Orange County, Fresno, and at the Minneapolis Drummer, the Sheldon Theater in St. Louis, the International Gay Square Dancing Convention held in Los Angeles, and the Gay Alcoholics Anonymous Convention- Sober In The Sun- in Palm Springs.

MEN OUT LOUD performed at AIDS Walk L.A. and on a RSVP cruise to Mexico in 2000, as well as many Pride Festivals across America in both 2000 and 2001 including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Riverside, Ventura, L.A./Valley, Palm Springs, Orange County, Long Beach, and were featured as a guest artist singing live on a float in the Christopher Street West Pride Parade in West Hollywood, and also appeared singing live on the major sponsors float representing Miller Beer and Instinct Magazine in the L.A./Valley Pride Parade.

GENRE Magazine choose MEN OUT LOUD as the “Queer Artist of the Month” in their August 1997 issue; the ADVOCATE listed Men Out Loud as “# 1 in Sales to Gays and Lesbians” in their September 16, 1997 issue; and the LA Times and San Francisco Examiner both picked MEN OUT LOUD's live show as a “Best Bet.”

Men Out Louds first music video, “Gotta Have Lovin ” was released October 1, 1997 and climbed the national Club Video Charts (CVC). As of November 12, 1997 Men Out Loud's video was ranked # 3.

MEN OUT LOUD also contribute and donate our time and talents to support a variety of charitable causes and service organizations such as: AIDS Service Center Pasadena, AIDS Walk L.A., Santa Monica AIDS Project, APLA-AIDS Project Los Angeles, L.A. Shanti, L.A. Gay & Lesbian Community Service Center, City of West Hollywood, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Pasadena Pride, Simi Valley Pride, Santa Barbara Pride, Inland Empire Pride, Bakersfield Pride, L.A./Valley Pride, Palm Springs Pride, Christopher Street West, UTLA Stonewall Scholarship Fund, Pasadena Posada, GLAMA-Gay And Lesbian American Music Awards, HRC-Human Rights Campaign Inaugural Ball, and the Stonewall Democratic Club.
