MEN OUT LOUD FIND SUCCESS

"Openly gay a capella quartet Men Out Loud are celebrating the first hit off their debut self-titled album as the video for their single, "Gotta Have Lovin' " climbs up the club charts. The video, a fantasy-filled sequence that includes everything from a prison chain gang to a Fellini-esque party scene, is currently at #3 on the CVC Club Chart, the foremost rating system of club video play in the country. Their Chart position is particularly notable because the single is not featured on MTV nor any commercial radio stations, yet has been in the CVC's top 10 for the past two months.

In response to the video's success, as well as the great critical acclaim the band has received, Mercury Records has made a commitment with the group to release a second album. The new recording is expected to be in Stores later next year. ('98)

These events put a fantastic end to a breakthrough year for Men Out Loud. After the release of their album, they embarked on a nationwide tour of Gay Pride festivals, perfroming throughout the summer and fall months. They are currently planning an even larger tour for next year ('98), possibly even including a couple of international festivals. The group has also been featured in Genre magazine, Billboard, and the Los Angeles Times, and were recently invited to perform on the Hard Rock Cafe's Halloween stage in Los Angeles at the annual West Hollywood Halloween Parade."
